California Highway Patrol officers are investigating a fatal head-on collision Saturday night on Highway 18 in Pinon Hills that claimed the life of a 58-year-old Pacoima man.
According to CHP, Javier Hernandez Ramirez was operating a Honda Odyssey minivan east of Blanco Road when a Jeep Wrangler reportedly crossed into the eastbound lane at approximately 7:50 p.m. and struck the minivan head-on.
Authorities said Hernandez Ramirez and two passengers in the Honda were killed in the violent collision. Officials have not yet released additional details regarding the occupants of the Jeep or possible contributing factors.
The investigation into the deadly crash remains ongoing.
