A fatal pedestrian crash in Long Beach claimed the life of 8-year-old Jeremiah King Hicks on Saturday afternoon, according to authorities.
Police said the incident occurred on Paramount Boulevard near 56th Street when the child was struck by a vehicle under circumstances still under investigation.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene, but Hicks was pronounced dead due to the severity of his injuries.
