Authorities are investigating a fatal pedestrian collision that claimed the life of 37-year-old Jessica Flores Tuesday night on Branford Street in Pacoima.
According to investigators, Flores and her boyfriend were crossing Branford Street near Laurel Canyon Boulevard at approximately 9 p.m. when she was struck by an oncoming vehicle.
Flores died at the scene. Her boyfriend was not injured in the incident.
Police arrested the 33-year-old driver on suspicion of driving under the influence. The investigation into the crash remains ongoing.
Authorities said Flores is survived by five children, including an infant who will turn 4 months old on Thursday.
