A head-on crash on Highway 14 in Bakersfield left one person seriously injured Sunday evening, California Highway Patrol officials reported.
The collision occurred north of Backus Road after a southbound Chevrolet Malibu crossed the median and entered northbound lanes. The Chevrolet, driven by John Anthony Johnson, struck a Mercedes-Benz head-on. The driver of the Mercedes sustained moderate to major injuries. No additional information regarding citations or charges has been released.
