Fresno police are continuing to investigate a fatal crash involving a motorized bicycle and a suspected impaired driver that occurred Friday night on Millbrook Avenue.
According to authorities, 39-year-old John Mendoza was riding a motorized bicycle south of Gettysburg Avenue around 10 p.m. when he was struck by a white sedan.
The collision caused Mendoza to become trapped underneath the vehicle. He suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
Officials stated that the driver stopped following the crash and was later arrested on suspicion of DUI. No additional information regarding the driver has been released.
The investigation into the fatal collision remains ongoing.
