Authorities are investigating a fatal motorcycle collision that left 29-year-old Jorge Chavez dead Friday in Baldwin Park.
Police said Chavez was traveling through the intersection of Baldwin Park Boulevard and Los Angeles Street when a vehicle collided with him. He was taken to a hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
Friends, family, and UPS colleagues gathered over the weekend to honor Chavez, creating a memorial at the crash location. A GoFundMe has been established to help with funeral costs.
Police continue to investigate the cause of the crash.
