A head-on collision on Highway 41 in Kings County Sunday left five people dead, including Jose Ramos, authorities reported.
According to CHP, a southbound pickup truck crossed into oncoming traffic while attempting to pass vehicles and collided with a northbound Toyota Prius driven by Ramos.
The crash caused the pickup to overturn and ignite, resulting in multiple fatalities. Ramos was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officials continue to investigate the cause of the crash.
