A suspected drunken driver allegedly caused a wrong-way crash early Wednesday on Highway 41 in Fresno County, leaving one person seriously injured.
The California Highway Patrol said 18-year-old Jose Sanchez Carmona was driving the wrong way when his vehicle struck a Ford F-150 pickup truck near Elkhorn Avenue at approximately 1:15 a.m.
The driver of the pickup truck sustained major injuries and was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
The crash remains under investigation by the CHP.
