Tracy police are investigating a deadly two-vehicle collision that occurred early Tuesday morning at the intersection of Tracy Boulevard and Grant Line Road.
According to authorities, officers responded around 12:15 a.m. and discovered one vehicle engulfed in flames with occupants trapped inside.
Police said officers pulled the driver from the burning vehicle and attempted emergency life-saving measures. However, the driver, later identified as 22-year-old Joshua Franco-Magallon of Tracy, was pronounced dead at the scene.
A 19-year-old man and a 20-year-old woman traveling in the second vehicle were transported to a local hospital with major injuries. Authorities reported both individuals were listed in stable condition.
The Tracy Police Traffic Safety Unit is leading the ongoing investigation into the crash. Officials are asking anyone with information regarding the collision to contact the Tracy Police Department.
