Juan Pablo Marquez Avila died Friday, December 19, 2025, following a single-vehicle accident on Fairview Road. The incident occurred at approximately 12:45 a.m. when the Ford Explorer Avila was driving failed to navigate a left turn, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The SUV veered off the roadway, struck a fence, and rolled down an embankment before colliding with a tree. Two passengers were inside the vehicle during the crash; one suffered major injuries and was transported to a local hospital, while the other sustained minor injuries.
