Authorities are continuing to investigate a hit-and-run collision that left a bicyclist injured early Monday near Grass Valley.
According to CHP, the crash occurred around 5:15 a.m. on California 49 near Carriage Road when a vehicle struck a cyclist traveling within a traffic lane. The driver fled the scene immediately after the impact.
The injured cyclist, identified as 45-year-old Justin Libby, was taken to a nearby hospital and is currently listed in stable condition.
Officials have not released a description of the suspect vehicle, and the investigation remains active. CHP is asking anyone with information to come forward.
