Silverthorne police are continuing to investigate a fatal pedestrian collision that claimed the life of a local resident Saturday.
Karen Rae Fox, 76, was struck by a vehicle while crossing Blue River Parkway in a marked crosswalk at the intersection with Sixth Street, authorities said.
The vehicle involved was turning right from Sixth Street when the collision occurred. The driver stopped immediately and cooperated with police at the scene.
Officials said preliminary findings indicate the incident was accidental in nature. Further investigation is underway to determine all contributing circumstances.
