An 80-year-old woman, Kathryn Murphy, has died three weeks after being injured in a Carlsbad two-vehicle crash.
The incident occurred at 5:02 a.m. on Feb. 19 at Palomar Airport Road and Avenida Encinas. Murphy, a passenger in one of the vehicles, was taken to Scripps Memorial Hospital in La Jolla for treatment but succumbed to her injuries on Tuesday.
Authorities are examining the crash to determine the exact causes and any contributing factors.
