The family of a motorcyclist killed in a downtown Los Angeles hit-and-run is demanding justice after learning the driver accused in the crash was released on bail.
The victim, identified by family as Kenli Black, worked as a healthcare worker at Brain Health USA. According to relatives, Black was on his way to assist someone the night of July 12 when his motorcycle was sideswiped near Alameda Street. He was taken to a hospital, where he later died from his injuries on July 18.
Police arrested the driver in connection with the crash, but the suspect has since been released on bail. The case remains under investigation.
A GoFundMe campaign has been set up to help Black's family, who live outside Los Angeles, cover funeral and travel expenses.
