Authorities are investigating a multi-vehicle crash that occurred Wednesday in Morongo Valley and left one man seriously injured.
According to CHP, the collision happened on Twentynine Palms Highway near Bella Vista Drive during rainy conditions. A westbound Toyota Camry lost control and struck a Jeep Wrangler driven by Kent Usher, sending both vehicles into an eastbound tractor-trailer. A Mercedes SUV later struck the Camry.
Usher was taken to Desert Regional Medical Center. Authorities said the other drivers involved suffered suspected minor injuries.
The investigation remains ongoing.
