A multi-vehicle accident Friday afternoon in West Rancho Dominguez claimed the life of 35-year-old Kiah Reed, authorities said.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident occurred at about 2:10 p.m. near the intersection of Rosecrans Avenue and Main Street.
The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office said Reed died from traumatic injuries sustained on a sidewalk. Authorities also confirmed that a suspect was taken into custody after briefly fleeing the scene.
The circumstances that led to the fatal accident have not yet been released. The California Highway Patrol continues its investigation.
