
A pedestrian struck in a hit-and-run crash near Tahoe Park in Sacramento has died from his injuries, according to police.
The Sacramento County Coroner's Office identified the victim as 46-year-old Kirubel Gebretsadik.
Police say an unknown vehicle collided with a parked car in the 3400 block of Ramona Avenue around 7:45 a.m., knocking the parked vehicle into Gebretsadik. He was rushed to a hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
The driver responsible for the initial collision left the scene without stopping. Investigators with the Sacramento Police Department later located the suspect's vehicle, though further details on the driver's identity have not been released.
The department's Major Collision Investigation Unit continues to investigate the crash. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Sacramento police.
