A tragic hit-and-run incident in Los Angeles left a 73-year-old bicyclist dead, prompting an ongoing investigation by local authorities.

Police said Kum Soon Lee-Kim was struck while riding her bicycle along Olympic Boulevard when a white Dodge Ram truck turned onto Vermont Avenue and collided with her inside a crosswalk. The driver fled the scene immediately after the crash.

Paramedics rushed Lee-Kim to an area hospital, but she later succumbed to her injuries. Detectives were able to locate the truck involved, though the driver has not yet been apprehended.

The LAPD continues to seek public assistance, offering a reward of up to $50,000 for credible information in the case.
