A Clearlake Oaks man died Monday after being struck by a suspected drunk driver in Lake County, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officers said Larry Wayne Monahan, 67, was crossing Highway 20 west of Lakeland Street at approximately 7 p.m. when a westbound Hyundai struck him. The vehicle then crashed into a light post on the north sidewalk.
Monahan succumbed to his injuries shortly after the crash.
