An 83-year-old Bakersfield man died Thursday night after being struck by a vehicle while walking on Panorama Drive.
The Kern County Coroner's Office identified the victim as Larry Bernard Tombow.
According to preliminary findings, a vehicle was traveling west on Panorama Drive around 9:18 p.m. when it struck Tombow in the roadway. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver, identified only as a woman, remained at the scene, officials said.
