Authorities are investigating a fatal three-vehicle crash in Madera County that left a 23-year-old passenger dead.

CHP officials reported that a Dodge Challenger lost control on Highway 145, crossed into opposing traffic, and collided with a Honda CR-V. A third vehicle, a Honda Accord, then struck the CR-V.

The passenger in the Dodge Challenger, identified as Leslany Santoyo, died at the scene. The driver of the CR-V and other individuals involved sustained undisclosed conditions.

The California Highway Patrol continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
