Authorities are investigating a fatal bicycle crash that claimed the life of a UC Davis student Monday afternoon on campus.
Lincoln Sabini, 20, was riding his bicycle on Hutchinson Drive near the West Village residential area when he was struck by a vehicle around 3 p.m., according to campus police. He was taken to a nearby hospital but later died from injuries sustained in the collision.
Sabini, a sophomore, had graduated from McClatchy High School in Sacramento. Officials have not disclosed information about the driver or the circumstances leading up to the crash.
The UC Davis Police Department continues to investigate the incident.
