Authorities are investigating a fatal hit-and-run crash that claimed the life of Linda Teyechea early Saturday morning in Phelan.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the 38-year-old San Bernardino resident was struck by a westbound vehicle around 3 a.m. on Neilson Road, just east of Sheep Creek Road.
Responding officers found Teyechea on the dirt shoulder. She was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver involved did not remain at the location and fled in an unknown direction.
Investigators are continuing to search for leads in the case and are urging anyone with information to come forward.
