The Santa Barbara Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal hit-and-run collision in Santa Maria that claimed the life of Maria Juarez Moreno.
Moreno, 46, was walking near Bunny Avenue and Blosser Road late Saturday when a vehicle struck her and fled. Authorities confirmed she died at the scene. Law enforcement later arrested the suspected driver, who faces multiple felony counts.
Investigators continue to review evidence surrounding the crash and are urging anyone with information to come forward.
