A motorcyclist died from injuries sustained in a Tuesday night collision in Central Naples, and the driver of the other vehicle was arrested, officials reported.

Florida Highway Patrol investigators said the 61-year-old motorcyclist was heading south along Airport Pulling Road when a Chevrolet Silverado traveling north made a left turn onto Longboat Drive. The truck, operated by 33-year-old Mark Allen Frederick, collided with the motorcycle.

The rider was rushed to a hospital but did not survive.

Authorities arrested Frederick on a charge of DUI manslaughter. He was transported to the Collier County Jail following the crash.

State troopers continue to examine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
