Ogle County deputies responded Tuesday to a collision at a Forreston intersection that sent one driver to the hospital.
Officials said Mark Frederick, 71, was driving southbound on Baileyville Road when his vehicle collided with a Ford F-150 at Coffman Road. Investigators determined the pickup truck entered the intersection after stopping at a posted stop sign but failed to yield to Frederick’s vehicle.
Frederick suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Freeport Memorial Hospital for treatment. The pickup driver was not hurt. Deputies issued a citation for failure to yield and closed the investigation at the scene.
