Authorities are investigating a fatal pedestrian collision that occurred Friday evening along Oceanside Boulevard in Oceanside.
According to police, Michael Gilbert Figueroa was struck just after 7:19 p.m. when a vehicle traveling eastbound crossed through the intersection at College Boulevard and entered the center median. Figueroa was found with major injuries and later died at the scene.
The driver involved remained at the location and spoke with officers. No arrests have been announced.
The investigation is ongoing.
