Police are investigating a serious two-vehicle collision that left a Huntington man critically injured at the intersection of Broadway Avenue and Little Plains Road.
Suffolk County officials said Michael Izzo, 42, was operating a Honda CR-V when it struck a Toyota Tundra shortly after 3 a.m. Izzo was taken to South Shore University Hospital with critical injuries. The other driver was not harmed.
Investigators from the department’s Major Case Unit have taken over the case and impounded both vehicles for further examination. Anyone who witnessed the crash is urged to contact authorities.
