
Miguel Bravo Gonzalez died Tuesday after a vehicle he was riding in crashed during a high-speed police chase in Lancaster, authorities confirmed.
According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, the pursuit began when deputies attempted a traffic stop at Avenue K. The fleeing Ford truck accelerated to speeds nearing 100 mph before CHP officers deployed spike strips.
After striking the spikes, the truck lost a rear tire and crashed onto nearby railroad tracks at Sierra Highway and Avenue D. Gonzalez was pronounced dead at the scene. Officials continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the chase.
