Illinois State Police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred early Sunday on Interstate 290 in Oak Park.
Troopers said the accident happened around 2:53 a.m. in the westbound lanes and involved a Jeep and a Saturn passenger vehicle. Mona Sims, 55, of Bellwood, died after being ejected during the collision.
Another person was taken to an area hospital for treatment. Authorities have not yet released additional details as the investigation continues.
