A freeway crash early Friday in Blythe claimed the life of 43-year-old Natalia Silva, officials said.
According to CHP, a Kia sedan crashed into a guardrail on Interstate 10 and came to a stop in a travel lane. A second vehicle then collided with the disabled car.
Silva, a passenger in the Kia, was pronounced dead at the scene.
One person in the second vehicle suffered minor injuries.
Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances of the crash.
