Authorities are searching for a driver involved in a deadly hit-and-run crash that claimed the life of a Modesto woman Tuesday evening.
According to the California Highway Patrol, Peggy Holt, 79, was walking near Claribel Road and Langworth Road when she was struck by a vehicle that left the scene.
Holt died from injuries sustained in the crash.
Officials are seeking a white Ford F-150 believed to be involved in the incident, which may have visible front-end damage.
The case remains under active investigation, and authorities are asking the public for assistance.
