A 19-year-old man died in a hit-and-run crash early Monday morning while riding a motorcycle in the Scripps Ranch neighborhood of San Diego.
San Diego police said Peter Turner Ratcliffe was riding a Honda motorcycle eastbound in the 10000 block of Carroll Canyon Road at approximately 2 a.m. when his motorcycle collided with another vehicle.
The driver of that vehicle fled the scene before officers arrived, according to police.
Ratcliffe, a San Diego resident, was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities have not released a description of the suspect vehicle or any additional details, and the search for the driver continues.
