Rachel Alailima Dies in Collision on Northbound I-15 in Helendale

A Bellflower woman was killed early Tuesday in a traffic collision on Interstate 15 in Helendale, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The victim was identified as Rachel Alailima, 40, of Bellflower. The CHP reported the crash occurred at approximately 12:15 a.m. on northbound I-15, north of Hodge Road.

Alailima was pronounced dead at the scene, authorities said.

The circumstances surrounding the crash remain under investigation by the California Highway Patrol.
