California Highway Patrol officers are investigating a fatal two-vehicle accident that claimed the life of a 35-year-old passenger Monday morning in San Diego.
According to authorities, the collision occurred around 6:54 a.m. on Pine Hills Road, south of Van Duesan Road. Investigators said Rafael Mira Garcia Rojas was riding in one of the vehicles involved in the crash.
Rojas sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officials have not released details regarding the events leading up to the collision or whether additional injuries were reported.
The investigation into the deadly crash remains ongoing.
