Authorities are investigating a single-vehicle crash Sunday morning in Porter Ranch that left one person dead and two others injured.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, a gray 2015 Acura was speeding southbound on Tampa Avenue near Tunney Street at approximately 10 a.m. when the driver lost control.
Officials said the vehicle left the roadway and collided with a traffic signal and nearby private property. The Medical Examiner’s Office later identified the deceased passenger as 22-year-old Rafael Ramirez of Canoga Park.
Two other occupants, including the driver, were injured in the crash. Police said it was not immediately known whether alcohol or drugs were factors. The investigation is ongoing.
