The California Highway Patrol is investigating a two-vehicle crash that seriously injured Reece Kendall, 74, Friday at the intersection of Highway 49 and Lime Kiln Road in Nevada County.
According to CHP, Kendall was driving when another vehicle, operated by a 45-year-old man, allegedly failed to stop at a traffic light and collided with Kendall's vehicle shortly before noon. The impact left Kendall and a passenger with injuries that required hospital treatment.
Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision, including the reported traffic signal violation. Anyone with additional information is encouraged to contact the California Highway Patrol.
