Authorities in Oakland are continuing to investigate a deadly hit-and-run collision Saturday night that killed three men, including Robert Joe Dixon, and injured three others near International Boulevard.

Police said the crash happened around 11:15 p.m. outside East Bay Market & Liquor near the intersection of 85th Avenue and International Boulevard. Investigators determined that a pickup truck left the roadway and drove onto the sidewalk, striking several pedestrians gathered near the corner.

Robert Joe Dixon, widely known by friends as “OG Frog,” was among the three victims who died from injuries sustained in the collision. Three additional people were hurt and taken to area hospitals for treatment.

Authorities arrested a 17-year-old suspect shortly after the crash. According to investigators, the teen driver was allegedly traveling at speeds exceeding 50 mph in a zone posted for 25 mph.

The suspect faces charges including suspicion of vehicular manslaughter and hit-and-run as the investigation into the fatal collision remains ongoing.
