Authorities are investigating a fatal pedestrian crash that claimed the life of Ryan Lee Griswold, 52, at a Burlington intersection.
The collision happened at approximately 6:49 p.m. at West Webb Avenue and North Fisher Street. According to investigators, Griswold was walking in the roadway when a vehicle struck him.
Emergency crews from the Burlington Fire Department and Alamance County EMS attempted life-saving measures, but Griswold died from his injuries.
The driver involved stayed at the scene. The Burlington Police Traffic Unit Reconstruction Team is assisting in the active investigation. No charges have been announced.
