A Montecito man, identified as Ryan A. Hill, was taken into custody following a hit-and-run crash Friday night in Santa Barbara, police said.
Officers reported that Hill rear-ended two vehicles stopped at a signal on Cota Street near State Street before fleeing on foot.
A bystander followed the suspect and directed officers to his location, leading to his arrest a short distance away.
One person was hospitalized with minor injuries, while another reported discomfort at the scene.
Hill now faces felony DUI and hit-and-run charges as authorities continue their investigation.
