Authorities are investigating a fatal train-versus-vehicle crash that occurred Friday afternoon in Stone County.
Officials said a van struck a train on Pump Branch Road near Highway 49 around 1 p.m., resulting in multiple fatalities.
Ryan C. Peterson, 26, was among those killed in the crash. Four other occupants of the van also died, while another individual was flown to a hospital for treatment.
No further details were immediately released as the investigation continues.
