Authorities say a bicyclist fatally injured in a dooring crash earlier this week in Queens has been identified as 24-year-old Sahan Ahmed.
According to the NYPD, Ahmed was riding west on Liberty Avenue when the driver of a parked 2012 Kia Soul opened her door as he passed, triggering a collision at approximately 6:09 p.m.
Ahmed was rushed to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries on Friday. Police say the investigation into the incident is ongoing.
