Authorities are continuing to investigate a fatal motorcycle crash that occurred Tuesday morning at a Thermal intersection, leaving one man dead.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash happened just after 6 a.m. at 59th Avenue and Pierce Street. Investigators said a Honda motorcycle traveling northbound collided with a Subaru sedan that was traveling southbound and making a left turn across the intersection.
The motorcycle rider, identified as 29-year-old Salvador Torres Garcia, sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Subaru was not injured in the crash, officials confirmed.
CHP officers remain on scene details review as they work to determine the exact sequence of events leading up to the collision.
