The Arkansas Department of Public Safety reported that two people died late Saturday after their vehicle crashed and caught fire in Little Rock.
Authorities said a 2012 Ram pickup traveling west on Cantrell Road left the roadway around 10:42 p.m., collided with a tree, and ignited.
Passenger Sarah Alvarez, 23, of Little Rock, suffered fatal injuries in the crash. The vehicle’s driver, also 23, was pronounced dead as well.
The Little Rock Police Department continues to investigate the cause of the collision.
