Authorities are continuing to investigate a fatal pedestrian collision that claimed the life of Seraphina Rose Fadick, 17, Friday evening in Encinitas.
According to police, Fadick was struck by a vehicle at approximately 7:15 p.m. while on El Camino del Norte. She died from injuries sustained in the collision.
Community members have created a memorial at the scene, leaving flowers, candles, and heartfelt tributes in remembrance of the San Dieguito Academy High School student. Investigators with the San Diego Sheriff's Office are working to determine the circumstances that led to the fatal crash, and no additional information has been released.
