Shahin Jahanbigloo died Saturday after his motorcycle collided with a crossover SUV on Highway 150 just east of Ojai, officials confirmed.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash happened at approximately 10:30 a.m. when a gray Audi Q4 attempted to make a left turn onto SR-150 eastbound at Old Walnut Road. Two motorcyclists riding westbound — Jahanbigloo on a red Honda CRF1000 and a 63-year-old West Hollywood man on a BMW R1250 GS — struck the vehicle.
The Ventura County Medical Examiner’s Office said Jahanbigloo, 67, died from multiple blunt-force injuries.
The second rider was transported by helicopter to Ventura County Medical Center with serious injuries. Authorities stated that neither alcohol nor drugs appear to have contributed to the collision. The case is under active investigation.
