A deadly collision involving a motorcycle and a big rig on the northbound 605 Freeway claimed the life of motorcyclist Shawn Chavez on Wednesday morning, officials said.
CHP investigators reported that the crash happened about 9 a.m. near Firestone Boulevard. Chavez suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Authorities are continuing to investigate the cause of the collision.
