A juvenile died and another remained in critical condition following a Saturday evening collision in Perris involving a driver arrested on suspicion of DUI, authorities said.

The crash happened around 5:35 p.m. near Ramona Expressway and Rider Street.

The Sheriff's Office said five people in one of the vehicles were injured, including the unidentified juvenile who later died at a hospital. Two victims sustained life-threatening injuries.

Another juvenile continued to receive treatment in critical condition.

Silvia Corona, who was the sole occupant and driver of the second vehicle, was arrested on suspicion of gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated and driving under the influence of alcohol.
