Police in Clovis have arrested a 62-year-old Prather man following a DUI-related crash that injured a toddler Saturday afternoon. According to investigators, Steve Myer was driving near Willow and Nees avenues at approximately 2:20 p.m. when his vehicle struck a toddler near the Trader Joe’s shopping center.
The child’s mother was also hit but did not sustain injuries. Emergency responders transported the toddler to a nearby hospital for treatment, where the child was reported to be in stable condition.
Myer was taken into custody and faces felony DUI charges as police continue to examine the circumstances surrounding the collision.
