California Highway Patrol investigators are continuing their search for the driver involved in a fatal hit-and-run collision that killed 30-year-old Steven Monzon near Camarillo.
According to authorities, Monzon was traveling home after visiting his fiancée in Simi Valley when his Uber ride ended several miles before his destination. Shortly before 10:50 p.m., witnesses reported seeing a man attempting to flag down traffic near Santa Rosa Road and Gerry Road.
Investigators believe Monzon was struck by a black sedan while in the roadway. The vehicle fled the scene, and the driver has not been identified.
The California Highway Patrol is urging anyone with information about the suspected vehicle or its driver to contact investigators as the search continues.
